Welcome to Posterity Counseling
At Posterity Counseling, everyone is welcome, accepted, and respected—and I’m truly honored that you’re here.
Therapy is often pictured as heavy, clinical, or even intimidating, but I believe it doesn’t have to be that way. I bring a refreshingly laid-back and approachable style to my work. Therapy can absolutely be hard work—it asks you to be open, to face challenges, and to sit with difficult emotions. But it can also be deeply comforting, supportive, and even joyful.
In my office, you have full permission to show up exactly as you are. You can laugh, cry, sit quietly, or process out loud. Whatever you bring, I’m here to hold space for you with empathy, acceptance, and compassion. My role is to walk alongside you—offering support, understanding, and perspective—as you heal and grow.
I genuinely care about my clients and I deeply respect their stories. I want you to feel seen, heard, and valued not only as my client but as a person. Research consistently shows that the therapeutic bond—the connection between client and therapist—is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. That means true change happens when we “vibe,” when you feel safe enough to trust me and we build a relationship rooted in honesty and respect.

In the feature, we discuss the mission behind our practice, our therapeutic philosophy, and the vision driving our work to help individuals and families heal, grow, and thrive.

My Story & Background
My path into counseling has been shaped by both professional training and real-life experiences. I’ve worked in education and therapy, which has given me a wide lens on human struggles and resilience. Along the way, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to:
-
Process and overcome traumatic experiences
-
Build and maintain healthy relationships
-
Cope with depression and anxiety
-
Develop practical skills for stress management
-
Create behavioral changes that last
-
Find balance between work, family, and personal life
-
Navigate the complexities of family dynamics
These are not abstract concepts to me—they’re lived realities that I’ve walked through with countless clients, and I’m passionate about helping you create a life that feels lighter, healthier, and more meaningful.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a wife and mom, and those roles are a huge part of who I am. The love, care, and commitment I bring to my family naturally carry over into the way I approach therapy. I understand firsthand how important healthy relationships are, and how deeply they affect our sense of well-being. That perspective influences how I guide my clients in strengthening their own relationships—whether with a partner, children, family members, or even themselves.
In my personal life, I recharge through traveling, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones. These aren’t just hobbies to me—they’re my reminders to practice mindfulness, nurture relationships, and enjoy the little moments. They keep me grounded, balanced, and grateful, and I bring that same energy of self-care and presence into my work with clients.

Our Vision
To build a world where healing is not hidden, where emotional wellness is a family value, and where future generations inherit peace instead of pain. We envision individuals and families who embrace growth, compassion, and resilience as the foundation for lasting change.
Our Mission
To empower clients to live authentically, heal deeply, and break generational patterns that no longer serve them. Through trauma-informed, evidence-based care, we create a safe space where people can explore, learn, and grow. We believe that therapy should be accessible, human, and filled with genuine connection — a space where you feel seen, respected, and understood.
My Approach to Therapy
Authentic, adaptable, and always centered on you.
My style is relaxed and client-focused, blending warmth with evidence-based methods.
Every client is different, and that’s why I believe therapy should never feel “one-size-fits-all.” My approach is relaxed, authentic, and tailored. When we work together, you can expect a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I listen without judgment, meet you where you are, and adjust my approach to fit your unique challenges and goals.
Being a trauma-informed therapist means I approach every client with empathy, patience, and respect for their lived experiences. I understand that trauma affects not only how we think and feel, but also how we move through the world and relate to others. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment rooted in safety, collaboration, and empowerment — where you can take things at your own pace.
In our sessions, there is no pressure to “get over it.” Instead, there’s an invitation to understand yourself, your patterns, and your needs with compassion. We focus on rebuilding trust — in yourself, in relationships, and in life. Using techniques like EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies, we’ll work together to help you reconnect with your inner strength and resilience.
Healing from trauma isn’t about forgetting what happened; it’s about reclaiming your power and writing a new story — one defined by peace, purpose, and hope.
At Posterity Counseling, I believe that when you heal, you create a ripple effect that touches everyone around you. You become the start of something new — a cycle of understanding, connection, and love that future generations will thank you for.
I use a variety of evidence-based therapy methods, including:
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma healing
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reshape unhelpful thought patterns
-
Mindfulness practices to reduce stress and increase presence
-
Solution-Focused Therapy to create practical steps forward
-
Play Therapy techniques for children and families
-
Parenting support & behavioral strategies for family and relationship challenges
-
DBT and ERP
By combining these approaches, we’ll create a therapy experience that feels personal, effective, and uniquely suited to you.

Online Therapy
Life is busy, and it’s not always easy to make it to an office. That’s why I offer convenient, secure, and private online therapy sessions. With telehealth, you can connect with me from the comfort of your home, your office, or anywhere you feel safe and comfortable.
The online platform I use is fully confidential, giving you the same privacy as an in-person session. Whether you’re juggling work, parenting, or just a hectic schedule, online sessions make it easier to prioritize your mental health.
